I am not one for doing the same routine day in and day out. I keep changing adding spice to my life.
But not so with our maids. They would prefer just to knock at the door and start with their routine day in and day out.
Our household expects maids to do more than just their routine and that is one reason they do not stick around

@moonandstars I would love to be rich enough to afford a maid.
There is only one woman in the area where we live who has a maid who comes twice a week in the morning.

@allknowing Considering I'm retired, you probably do. Still, I've never had a maid. I do all my own housecleaning.

In a household there is always work that is not routine and some of these maids resent that.
