Some herbs from the garden

I had a lot of work to do in the garden cleaning up and replacing some of the summer plants that are done blooming.
I collected some herbs for lunch, fresh basil, Dill and oregano. I have noticed that my favorite herb thyme has all dried up. The pigeons have been at them I guess. They are usually scratching around in that pot. I had put a net over it but since it has been windy the last few days the nets has flown away.
I love dill. I plan to make a roasted lamb with loads of dill. I am saving the oregano for a later meal. I use a lot of herbs in my cooking. Cilantro, lemon grass, ginger are some I regularly use. I don't grow ginger though.
What are your favorite herbs?

I enjoy dill too. I miss having my herb garden just outside the kitchen door.

@celticeagle Dill has a strong flavor.. not many like dill.. but they can make bread and roasts feel very special. Do you miss your herb garden because the growing season is over?

@sofssu .......Depends on what you put it in. I miss it cause I don't have the herbs available anymore. Don't live there now.

We don't have our herbs. But we do have those McCormick bottles of those dried herbs.
Though, my sister who cooks pesto loves Basil, which she also grows in the garden of my parents where they live.
Wow, please let me have a taste of your roast lamb. We don't have lambs here in the Philippines but I was able to taste a roast lamb when we ate at Mandarin hotel in their buffet. It's so delicious!

@SIMPLYD Oh dear.. I wish I could send that tasty piece of lamb roast to you.. My son loved it. I tried a Lebanese style and it did taste delicious.
Bottled herbs are the next best to fresh herbs. I like mine fresh and grow as much as possible all through the year.

Lemongrass, Keffir lime leaf and Laksa leaf. Those are the one I often used. There is a gigantic two metre tall Keffir lime tree my dad planted years ago beside my house, and I took advantage of that. I planted turmeric for its fragrant leaf.
