The Mountain of Apes or as we say it 'Thaba Tshwene'

You might just wonder why my heading is so strange in language, that is because in South Africa many of the places have taken on the African names to make it more appealing for the visitors from abroad. This is the venue where my daughter got married on Saturday and even though the weather was a scorcher 39* in the shade, everything went off without a hitch. The photographer arrived an hour early and was in and about our feet while we were trying to get finished with the bride's hair, eventually, I suggested she meander outside and wait for the José Couteur Wedding dress and designer to arrive before I would let her back in the suite. Photographers are most annoying underfoot while you are trying to get something done - Grrrrrrrr Luckily the suite had a great jacuzzi- with cool water that the maids and bride could dip in all day long till the final dressing at 3. Then they set off to the Enviro Sanctuary SPA for a photo shoot before returning to the Amphitheatre for the ceremony. The Harpist played a few familiar tunes as we waited and then the bell rang . . . bridesmaid No 1 emerged at the top of the amphitheatre and descended to the tune of Trumpet Voluntary on the harp as bridesmaid and matron of honour followed suit. The tune changed to Wagner's bridal chorus as Mecé chaperoned by her dad for the last time, stepped into the arena of marriage. Most enchanting, deeply caring as only close friends and loved ones were present. The calm silence of the Bushveld echoed life, as the minister conducted the service; tears flowed, bouquets were exchanged for handkerchiefs. and bursts of laughter rang out as the joy was shared. Love was in the air and I believe God was smiling down on us all. Hydrangea Confetti was tossed, and the beautiful harp interludes with my favourite being "ferry cross the mercy" softly waved over the afternoon sundowners and snacks before we were called to the reception. Not many people actually appreciate sunsets, and in choosing her time of the wedding, my daughter had in mind that everyone should experience a little bit of sunset magic with her. It was not long before the couple joined us and glasses were raised and speeches started. I shall not bore you with those traditional details, as it was very traditional but just to mention that after our meals we danced till midnight. It was a truly magical wedding. Thank you for reading, if you want to know any finer details, question away.

Was that the wedding of your second daughter? I seem to remember that you already wrote on a daughter's wedding some time ago. Maybe it was on bubblews. Obviously, that was the first daughter then.
