If I Could Turn Back Time

I'm grateful to have been born when I was (1981). I have heat intolerance, so I don't know that I would have lived a good life without air conditioning. Considering I live in Oklahoma where the temp is routinely over 100 degrees F I am especially grateful. But if I could go back in time and see another decade it would be the 1950s. My dad was born in 1955, and my late mother was born in 1959, so they don't/didn't remember much about that decade. I'm sure I have romanticized that era in my mind, but I would love to see a time that was more innocent and less jaded. However, as a white person, I recognize other ethnicities might not feel the same way about that time. If you remember the 1950s, tell me about it. And, what decade from any century, would you like to have seen?

I don't remember the 1950s because I was not born yet. I was born in the 1960s. If I could visit one decade it would be the 1930s. That was the decade my parents were born. I would love to see how my town I live in was in those days.

I think I don't mind the special history we have here if given a chance to go back time. I would likely to go back time when I was still young, active and healthy. Maybe I can stop myself by being sick today. That would be cool.

I wasn't born until the 1960's, but I know that my parents used to tell me that the world was an awfully good place in the 50's. There was less crime, and a family could live a good life with just 1 bread winner-usually the husband/father who was therefore considered to be the head of the household. I wish that I would have been born in the late 50's so that the 70's could have been more fun for me. I remember hearing the music and seeing the fashion, but being too young to be able to really enjoy either by dressing up and going to a concert or anything like that.

I remember the 50s, because I was born in the beginning of the fifties. It was a wonderful time, people were more nice and happy. I remember going out to play with the other kids, no problems of heavy traffic or dangerous people around. I would go back to those years any time.

I have a friend who is allergic to cold to the extent that she can go into anaphylactic shock if she gets too cold. I was born in 1946 and for me the 50s were great really. We lived on a farm and didn't get to town often but I had lots of pets and didn't really miss not having playmates. I caught a school bus to go to school.

I'd fix a lot of things but then again we don't know if that would definitely work.
