Emily Barker - our artiste for Sunday's concert

We have an outdoor concert happening here on Sunday. @xFiacre asked who was playing and as others have been interested too, I thought I would write about Emily Barker who is playing on Sunday. Born in Bridgetown, Western Australia in 1980, Emily now operates from the UK but comes home regularly.
She fell in love with American roots music and Wikipedia lists her genres as Americana, country and folk. She is probably best known as the writer and performer of the award-winning theme to the BBC TV drama Wallander starring Kenneth Branagh. The theme of the drama The Shadow Line is another of her efforts. She has recorded a number of albums now, all of which have sold well.
She composed the music for The Keeping Room starring Sam Worthington and Brit Marling. She then went on to compose her first feature-length soundtrack for the UK movie Hector which was released in 2015. We were able to enjoy a preview of the film in Bridgetown where Emily also performed a few of her songs and where the photo was taken. Since then, I think she has written the music for several other films.

Did not know your concert had great personalities performing . What type of concert will this be? May be a mixture of all genres?

@JudyEv - How fortunate that you can have entertainers who are as talented as this young woman sounds like she is. I love folk music, so I am sure I would enjoy her! Have a great time!

We are up to about 80 now which is a bit lower than we'd like but I guess it is getting close to Christmas and everyone gets busy.
