I have always wanted waterlilies in my garden. When I was six years old, I dug a small pond and filled it with water, hoping to get some waterlilies planted in them.. A few hours later to my utter amazement all the water had vanished. I was so mad and wanted to know who took away my water. My dad explained that the earth and the sun consumed it.. I stomped the earth and cried a bit.. then the waterlilies were forgotten for a few years. Again in my teen years I tried to get some plants but they were beyond my budget. After all these years I finally got a few plants and they are so beautiful, a dream come true.. I enjoy seeing them in my garden.. Some birds also come here on hot summer days for a bath.. they seem to enjoy their time here. Do you like waterlilies?

@sofssu ahhh seriously? they are cheap here... and you can even take a plant from a pond I mean the small ones. the big ones are too obvious and embarrassing already.

There is a park in a town in the south of my country that has a big pond with waterlilies. It is the main attraction there and they are beautiful.

@DianneN They do, that when you gift them away... My son's teachers (two of them) were so enamored by these flowers so I gave it them as teachers day gifts. They were thrilled.

Ah, so you have your own pond now too? It is neat to see them in various public gardens - those big leaves round leaves with flowers just floating on the water. We don't have the room for such a pond - so we just enjoy them when we visit such gardens.

Are those in the picture waterlillies, just of different colors? So, at an early age, your interest in flowers and plants can be seen already. No wonder, you have a green thumb because interest in flowers and plants is natural on you.
