I just missed work today...

I am not sure what will be my excuse, I was just so tired yesterday that I end up sleeping for 16 hours just like a cat. I have the average of 6 hour sleep a day but yeah I slept for 16 hours and I missed work because of it. Oversleeping doesn't feel good at all, I felt like I have a headache instead of feeling well rested. Length of sleep does not seem to mean you are having quality sleep. I just hope oversleeping wont lead to not being able to sleep later.

I have the same problem when I sleep too many hours, a bad headache.

I am back to normal, I just realize that length of sleep does not equal to quality of sleep.

@LadyDuck A high quality sleep makes you feel good when you wake up regardless of how long or short it is.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Absolutely not, 4 hours can be enough if it's a good quality sleep.

Dang - did you sleep 16 hours straight? I am probably a 6 hour sleeper too, but I rarely sleep through these days, waking up making maybe every 2-3 hours no matter how much I sleep. My husband has the opportunity to sleep in on weekends - he could sleep an extra 4 or so hours or more if allowed - but then he gets a headache and actually feels sluggish throughout the day if he does. Maybe your body just needed that extra rest though - just hope you are not coming down with a cold or something.

I guess my body just gave up after doing something physical everyday. This job is physically and mentally draining.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Ah, then maybe you need more rest everyday . . . your body just had it for now and reacted this way. Are you working long hours too?

That's a very long time. You must be so tired and this is why you overslept so much. Hopefully everything will be still alright for you.
