Are You Tempted By Black Friday Sales

It seems we can't go anywhere or watch anything without being inundated by advertisements for Black Friday Sales. I personally avoid the crowds and there is no way I would go to Walmart or Kohls on Black Friday.
Actually, we plan to drive up to Kittery Maine which is about 2.5 hours away to go to the Trading Post. My grandson Alex wants to buy his brother a Christmas gift there and hubs love this store. It has lots of different fishing, hunting and sports things for sale.
While the menfolk shop there, my daughter and I will go to some of the outlet stores. I have ordered a lot of my gifts already online so I am pretty much done with my shopping but you never know what you might find lol
I am sure we will get lobster rolls for lunch and we will drive back home the same day. So while we won't be shopping the sales, we will be shopping.

I am gonna do an online black Friday/cyber Monday sale. I do not need anything to even think about trying out a black Friday in store sale.

I agree, unless you really want to get something electronic I don't find the sales enticing.

I love spending time with my daughter so I will enjoy the travel time probably more than the shopping.

I don't think I've seen ever done Black Friday shopping other than when I've worked that day I have gotten movies that were cheap if anything was left after my shift was over.
I thought about looking at Kindle fires as my husband Brooke the face of his and it no longer stays in the same page. But we don't have extra cash this time of year and work me being off it's even less.

@MarshaMusselman I have never had that issue with anything I buy from QVC, high-quality items last a long time and with something like a Kindle or Amazon Fire I have had mine for 3 years and it is perfect. I always take advantage of the extended payment, there is no interest charged so why not.

@BelleStarr 6 or 12 or 24 easy payment are never easy for me. I always owe long after I've had whatever I purchased. After doing that more than once with Art Van, I don't get talked into those types of deals anymore, thankfully.

Luckily, n Maine there was not a crowd in any of the stores that I went to. I did find some gifts I wanted and somethings for myself as well.

It was wonderful, the lobster was sooo good and I did accomplish some gift buying and I got bras on sale, it was all good.

We don't do black friday shopping. Between not having the extra funds, and not wanting to be around the crowds and bad bo smells. Ick.

I read about Black Friday here too but really do not understand it that much. I do not like crowds so stay away from that. It sounds like you have the right idea.

The stores we went to were not too crowded and some of them had very few people by the time we shopped which was evening.

You are wise to stay away from the stores if you can't afford to shop, debt is a not a good thing even at the holidays.

Last night we were watching the news - some crazy people are already pitching their tents in front of the stores for Black Friday . . . nope, that won't be me! While I love shopping - and shopping for deals especially - I'm ok with shopping during the more peaceful days. That being said, IF we happen to go shopping on Friday, I won't mind looking

The lobster rolls sound great, but I don't shop at outlet stores and rarely buy things on sale unless they are marked down at SAKS Fifth Avenue. The other stores I shop at never have sales. What isn't sold is returned to headquarters. I have no idea what they do with those beautiful clothes.

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here but many commercial establishments tend to join the bandwagon and promote Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals. As far as I know, I have not given in to any.

@BelleStarr I try to be! LOL. I'm obsessed with comparison shopping and hardly ever buy on impulse unless it's something that ought to be part of my collection (like cheap mechanical pencils, dainty dinner plates, and designer papers). But if I had a lot of extra money and know that many people could benefit from it, then I'd probably go shopping for deals on BF/CM.

No that is the date and no secret meaning. It is the day after our Thanksgiving and it launches the Holiday season at least shopping wise it does.
