A Little Spiked Coffee

So, of course, tonight we be our Thanksgiving dinner since we had to work around some other work schedules. We should have all the usual fare like turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, ham, and all the other usual stuff you might find on a Thanksgiving table. But this year I am also going to be bringing something a little different. A crock pot holiday coffee. Not sure how it will turn out yet, as this is a bit of an experiment. But how can I go wrong? I am going to first make a pot of strong coffee. I will pour that into the crock pot. I will add 6 packets of hot cocoa mix. Then toss in 1/2 cup of Kahlua and 1/4 of crème de menthe. Might add in a teaspoon or so of vanilla extract as well, but not yet sure. I will cover the crock pot and let it cook on low for about 3-4 hours. Does this sound like it will be tasty? Need to get a can of Redi-Whip as well in case anyone wants to top their cup with a little bit of whipped cream.

I do not know, because I do not drink coffee, but it definitely sounds to be strong.

It was, especially since I made the pot of coffee with extra scoops of grounds.

I have reduced on the coffee a lot. It seems like it has affected my sleep pattern.

I only generally drink coffee in the morning. Very rarely will you ever see me with a cup of coffee in the evening. Although tonight I may partake of some of this treat.

Wait until it's done before adding the booze. Otherwise, it will evaporate.

Sounds wonderful but would you need to let it stew for so long? We only like instant coffee (don't shoot me please) so I don't know anything about 'brews'.

Probably not. I think it is simply to marinate all of the ingredients well. It turned out pretty good.

That sounds pretty good! Flavored coffees always are a treat. Especially when liquor is involved
