What I Eat in a Day ~ Day 13

My DQ meal!

I didn't include "Keto" in the title because I didn't exactly stick to it for the full day, but I won't start over with counting the days. For my first meal I had what is pictured ~ DQ (Dairy Queen). I got a $5 buck lunch with a cheese burger, fries, and a drink. It comes with a free sundae--or you can upgrade to a small blizzard for a buck extra, so I did that. For my second meal of the day I cooked up some regular bacon for me, and some turkey bacon for my husband and son (they don't like regular bacon for some reason) -- So I had some of each lol. Oh, and I had the hot chocolate; once I recovered from burning my finger! I didn't check my sugar except for my fasting number (125) because I knew it'd be high after the DQ meal. -- Did YOU have anything good to eat today? It is always interesting to hear about what everyone is cooking up (or ordering)!

My diet focuses on uncooked fruits and vegetables. I tend to follow the 80-10-10 way of eating.

So, you do a raw diet? Not sure what 80-10-10 is (unless that's macros).

@MommyOfEli2013 Mostly raw! I do eat some cooked beans in the winter and may occasionally eat pasta and other things. 80-10-10 is a diet where 80% of calories come from carbs of mostly fruits and 10% fats and 10% proteins. There's a book about 8o-10-10 by Douglas Graham.

@1hopefulman Well Kudos to you if you can do a raw diet/ 80-10-10...I couldn't do that myself. I do 5% of calories from carbs, 70-75 from fat, and the rest in protein. So different!

I ate leftover turkey and dressing for a few days. Now back to regular food.

I have to cook on my own too, these days I am ignoring in favor of time spent.

I had no idea that a diabetic could eat a blizzard! Yikes, that's an awful lot of sugar to eat:(

@MommyOfEli2013 Carbs in large quantities will cause kidney failure, amputations, blindness, and eventually a heart attack or a stroke.

@kobesbuddy That's why I said it was not recommended, but people can do what they want....I do eat what I want once or twice a month....but stick to low carb the rest of the time.

Really can eat whatever we want, but if we want to control our sugar it is not recommended. Now I make my own low carb, sugar free ice cream at home.
