I didn't think about it, how could these artists make statues that were exactly the same as human faces,

Are you sure he did not hire a head shrinker?

Yup, head shrinking and a mold was the solution before 3D printers. Joke apart, the Rodin museum has many plasters by Rodin, and he was molding a lot, not only faces, he could use the same arm or leg for several bronze statues.

@louievill I did not knew that. There are several shrank heads from South America in a museum here, they are no more shown to the public to not scare toddlers.

@topffer Art could take up many forms and techniques some towards wierd to grotesque. Another kind of head shrinkers are the head hunters who would boil, smoke, stitch and dry shrunken heads as ornaments or trophies, it was not limited to the Americas or Africa but we had our own version that was practiced even until the 40s or 50s

@DAMARWULAN303 I'm not sure about the one in the photo. It might be fake. But I have seen baby dolls that look absolutely real.

@BloggerDi Yes, I am also not sure that it is a statue made by artists in real terms. because it looks like a real person's face

But in my opinion it's just a work of art or a human editor

He must spend a lot of time studying the human face and body to get the details that perfect. His major is in sculpting

yes I just saw the carving artwork of that person, and I saw that he showed his carving art very well

Although I couldn't tell you the names of such artists, I have seen some magnificent life-life "statues" - and they can be very life like. We saw one of an "old lady" but if she were real she would really be too tiny - the details on her were amazing - you'd swear every bit of her wrinkles and all were totally real. It creeped my kids out .

@DAMARWULAN303 This is the one we saw. The picture pales in comparison to seeing it in person - very realistic that it's creepy!
