One of those Days.

Today is one of those days. My doorknob is broken and I could not get out of my house. It is finally open but I am scared to close it again. I am going to church tonight and will have to leave the door unlocked. Then the treat I bought for myself is gone. It was popcorn and candy corn drizzled with a glaze. I should not be eating it anyway but this is irritating. I don't know where it is but will look later. Swagbucks did not credit me for three big offers so I won't make goal today. Did you ever have one of those days? What happened and how did you handle it?

Absolutely I think we have all been there. Just take a pause, maybe some deep breaths, walk around for a minute, then maybe things will get better. I hope so for your sake.

@CarolDM Yes, you are right. Much water has flowed under the bridge but it is so aggravating when things go wrong, one after another.

I recently had one of those days. First the car wouldn't start, then the coffee maker broke down and in evening the bed fell apart. Great day

@akalinus I can imagine what kind of disasters we would be able to start together. At least things are better now. We still don't have a bed, but we have new coffee maker and the car is okay...most of the time.

It sounds a whole lot worse than my day. I don't think we should ever be roommates. It would be a disaster.

@akalinus I have had days like that where nothing went right and then things were ok. It is not easy to deal with things continuing to go wrong.

This is one reason I want to move. Everything is going wrong here. The plumbing is a mess and it goes downhill from there.

@Hannihar Yeah, I am worried about paying for a place I can't live in. Some rental places have agents charging a bunch of different people for the same apartment. Some people just charge to rent a place they don't even own. There was a scheme like that recently. Several families became homeless because they got scammed out of rent for a place they could not stay in.

Ugh. That sounds like a day. I hope you get your door fixed soon. Hang in there, and do something nice for yourself later. Out for coffee? Out for a meal? Anything you consider to be, nice.

@akalinus Yes,at least once I had had such a day.Two years back I was living in Kolkata where I had hired an apartment for ten days.That day when I came back to my apartment, the lock was broken and someone had stolen my shirt.I asked my neighbours,but said they did not see anybody entering my apartment.

@akalinus Yes,I had four other shirts in a suitcase.Only the one that was stolen was hanging from a peg.The thief was perhaps in a hurry.He took the shirt and made away.LOL!! He might be afraid of being caught.

Did you find your treat? The worst 'one of those days' was when we were expecting guests and our soakpit got blocked, the pump stopped working, the boiler did not co-operate.....................

@akalinus Soak pit is connected to toilets. I had engaged someone for a few days to wash out what came out with disinfectants.

@akalinus No where to go but up right. Being Locked out or in sucks. It happened to me once in last 10 years and visited my local bar. They always make sure I never get locked out again because they do not want to have to deal with me. Tried to make you smile.

I never locked the doorknob part of it unless I was going to be gone for a long time, like when I traveled north to see family and friends. I lock the deadbolt so it is the same key mostly. I think sets come with keys.

I found the treat on the floor. I taped up the latch so it won't open and am using the deadbolt as my lock.

I like the idea of tape, and of course mine would be missing if I wanted it as well. That treat will show up when you least expect it. I get really angry with Swagbucks at times, and I tend to just be huffy about it. You could turn in a ticket, sometimes it does help. Sometimes the whole site is having issues.

I had such a day yesterday. I was dropping everything, bumping into things, getting put on eternal hold while trying to conduct business, and wondering if life had meaning. Then I got a burrito, and everything was OK.
