Hope those who celebrated Thanksgiving enjoyed their day as we transition from "Fowl" to "going to the dogs." The video "Who Let The Dogs Out" sums up our next triva music quiz. So, don't give these dog tunes a bad name, follow those clues to a correct response! And of course, enjoy the video by Baha Men as they figure out who is responsible for letting out those "lucky dogs." Can you name the songs and artists from these musical hints: 1. This 1958 crossover tune peaked at #1 on the Country chart and #2 on the R&B chart. This brother singing duo didn't particularly like this novelty tune and were quite surprised when it became a hit. The song compares a guy named Johnny sniffing around the singer's girl, just like a certain type dog picks up the scent of a hunter's prey. If your still stuck on the artists and song, these boys had a couple other hit tunes called "Bye Bye Love and "Wake Up Little Susie." 2. This 1960 dog classic was a # 2 hit for the singer. The tune was about Annette Funicello, the popular Mouseketeer, and actress in those beach party films whom the artist was dating at the time. He also wrote some very popular songs for other artists in addition to his own. This artist wrote Frank Sinatra's signature song "My Way" in 1968. Tom Jones also recorded a song penned by this singer called "She's A Lady." Much of his success came in the late '50s with the popularity of rock and roll providing a teenage audience where he could target his tunes. "Loney Boy" and "Put Your Head On My Shoulder" were two such classics. Bonus: These British rockers released this dog titled tune in 1971. The title does not appear in the lyrics, and has nothing to do with the song itself. When they were working on the song in a location out in the country they would feed this dog wandering the grounds. Thinking about the canine was how they came up with the song title. This blues-rock tune was the first track on the band's fourth album which became the group's best selling LP. In this song, the artist is singing about a woman who appeals to his sexual interests, but is clearly no good for him - he tells himself he'd rather have a "steady rollin' woman" come his way. Liner Note: Considering what a sensation the song "Who Let The Dogs Out" was in America it had a surprisingly low chart position #40. However, It was a number #2 charter in the UK. While the song seemed to be everywhere, it did not reach the one-hit wonder success of a tune like "Macarena," which spent 14 weeks in the #1 positon on the charts!!! Ok music lovers.....Whodunnit? If your stuck and need additional help just let me know in your response. You can "Count On Me" to provide more clues. As always, thanks for reading and responding to my music post !!!! Well, there is a hit song titled "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad" and I have to agree! Nice job The one you missed was Led Zeppelin/Black Dog. I remember hearing this song on the radio as this band replaced the Beatles in a popularity poll. No "Puppy Love" here

1. Boudleaux Bryant’s favorite siblings! Of course, he wrote that song, too. 2. Personally, my favorite song that he wrote was “It Doesn’t Matter Anymore,” which Buddy Holly recorded (and, lest John slap me for not mentioning it, Linda Ronstadt also covered). Bonus: they had a lot of songs that never mentioned the title, didn’t they? I seem to remember an interview where Plant said they gave them these “working titles,” then never changed it to something else. I mean, wouldn’t it be more sensible to call it “Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh Oh” than “D’yer Mak’er”????

@dgobucks226 -- one of my favorite songs of theirs is "Hot Dog," which is also never mentioned in the lyrics. So, at the beginning, Robert goes, "Ah, hot dog!" as if to say, "Okay, there's the mention of the title, now get off our backs!"
