Christmas Music....Love It or Hate It?

I love Christmas and the whole holiday season. I'm already psyched for the holidays and making a menu for our Christmas dinner. Everyone gathers at my house for the fun and festivities and it will be here in record time with the way time has been flying by.
When it comes to Christmas music...I love it!!
However I think it's too early to play Christmas music on the radio and in the stores until after Thanksgiving. Poor Thanksgiving is getting pushed further and further away as the holidays take over way too early.
For those who hate Christmas music....what do you hate about it?

My major issue with Christmas music is that we get, on average, 15 new Christmas albums a year....that all contain the same tired 12 songs. It’s not so much the music itself, it’s hearing 6,800 versions of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” a day.

I love Christmas music, but I didn't like it at Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving is fine.

I agree with you. Let Thanksgiving have their time for celebrating before the holiday dish sets in.

I enjoy Christmas music except for one station I know about..prior to Thanksgiving they started playing it, and they never change the format..it is all hokey old songs from the early 60's, Andy Williams, Burl Ives and others. If they had something decent on, I would listen to it.

We have an Amazon echo and my daughter made a Christmas playlist which is awesome. None of those hokey old songs for us!

I love listening to Christmas carols, and I prefer them over Christmas songs.
They seem to have more meaning for me as there are more memories behind them taking me back to my childhood.@Juliaacv (48373)

@Marilynda1225 I just love those old carols that we all grew up singing in church, they mean so much to me. As a family, we always sing a few Christmas carols before any gifts are open-family tradition. My husband's family used to do that, and he's from a large family, and one year while singing the hydro went out, after that they sang a little softer.

Carols I associate with my childhood and singing in the church choir. I like some of the newer Christmas songs instead of Rudolph and Santa Claus is coming to town

I love Christmas music, but only certain songs. I'm trying to recreate a playlist I had long ago, but I keep finding songs I really don't like, or at least that particular arrangement.

I love Christmas Carols which I sing happily in the shower from the 1st of December (not a day before).
