It is Winter in Florida

I am loving every minute of this cold spell here in Florida. It was 47 degrees this morning here in Melbourne. To me this is the greatest weather as it is so refreshing and I don't have all the allergies I usually have. I know this is not going to last long but I am enjoying every minute of wearing my winter heavy clothes that I wore in the northeast all my life.
How is the weather by you? Is your winter different than the previous years?

20 degrees is pretty cold. I cannot believe we are in the 40's right now. I love wearing my heavy clothes from New Jersey.

It feels like summer in the morning but the temperature drops the moment the goes down too but we don't have winter here and we don't know how it feels to be in a freezing cold place. The lowest temperature I experienced in this city of ours was 17C.

@ramapo17 We have entertainment parks that have artificial snow and we can definitely feel winter coz it's freezing.

@toniganzon That sounds like fun. I remember when I first moved here to Florida and I was talking to the neighbors before which had 2 teenage boys and they kept asking me about snow. They have never seen it. They were originally from one of the islands.

Hi Nancy! We are having cooler temps here in New Jersey. Temps will be dipping into the 30's. Just got back from a trip to Brandywine Valley in PA. Went to Longwood Gardens and Hagley museum. Have you ever been to these places?

@dgobucks226 I loveeee Longwood Gardens. I am a plant person and love going to places like that. After the holidays I might go to something similar down here in Vero Beach. That can take away any kind of stress a person can have.

The weather here is about normal. Snow for a few hours, rain the next. It's supposed to snow tonight but it will be mixed with rain. A very slushy day tomorrow I predict.

It has been quite chilly this week, below average..40's during the day. and low 30's at night..but we are supposed to have a 70 degree day Sunday and Monday is looking good as well.

I still don't know how much I want to decorate this year. Last year we were in New Jersey for 2 weeks so I didn't do anything. We are staying home this year as we were up there for over 2 weeks because of my grandson going in the Navy.
We are going back up there in June as my younger grandson is graduating high school then and leaving for Rhode Island to the culinary school he was accepted in.

In our place there is only the dry season and the rainy season, and in the rainy season this is very disturbing for me and the surrounding community.
Some of the residents' houses collapsed in the storm that I was afraid of
this is all like a dream, but this is real, and we hope that events like this will not happen again in the days to come
Some people here say that this is the season they are very afraid of
and hopefully it will improve

@DAMARWULAN303 I think where you are is always hot? I use to live in the north in the USA and had a change of season in summer, fall, winter and spring. I loved that. Now I live in the very far south of the USA and it is mostly hot down here. I do not like the heat but when it gets to hot outside I stay in the house as the air conditioner is on.

Its nice that you're getting weather that you like so much.
Ours has been up and down.
We were very cold, then it started warming up, and by this coming Sunday we will be 12C which is around 53F. That's quite mild, but we'll take it, it should allow for the ice to melt.
