So tonight at work this brown what I thought was cardboard. We got the drinks an manager tends to well you know mess with the boxes.
So I swept floors kicked a few times thought I'll pick it up later.
3 good hours later I go to pick it up and realized it had money in it. Those weird bank envelopes.
$3,000 in it.
A customer watched me pick it up and said finders keepers your richer.
I put it in the till slot and texted the manager. Number 1 I'm on camera 2 I can be fired 3 if no one claims it they will give me some. They did last time.
It has Canadian and American money in it so. Which is odd.
Sorry but $3,000 is a month of pay not worth loosing the other 11 months.

Agree! I've seen people in Wal-Mart take things before.

I would definitely turn it in. I could never keep anything that wasn't mine.

Oh, wow! Three hours and nobody's come running in frantically asking if it was found? Might be a plant.

Nope, no one asked. Usually even people who loose a debit card call pretty quick. I kicked it around a few times. I'm surprised no one picked it up beside the door. I mean when you look at it up close you can tell it's a bank enevelope the brown ones. From the counter I thought it was cardboard.

that would be so tempting, but yes, reasons number 1 and 2 would make me come back to my senses.

I would have done the same thing. You did the right thing.
