Do you think giving a pet as a gift is a good idea?

I think if people decide to give a pet as a gift they should be informed. They should know what animal is preferred. Many people receive pets as gift and they are not satisfied. They abandon or donate the pets. I think this is wrong. And there are people who don't know that a pet needs money and it's like a child. A pet needs time, care, love, patience. Do you think it's a good idea to give pets as gifts?

It's not a good idea unless everyone is in agreement with it.

I am with you 100%. I thought about getting my wife a surprise kitten for Christmas since we buried out last furry friend about two months ago. But someone else advised me that first I should make sure she actually WANTS another pet, and of course it is better to take her to the store and let her hold one or two to decide which one touches her heart the most. Surprises are nice. But when it comes to pets, it's more than just buying something. It's making an instant connection that says, "Yeah, this is the one."

It is necessary to know well the people to whom we want to worship animals, because they demand love, but not everyone is offering it.

I think yes but we should have the knowledge of whether the recipient is pet keen or not

A pet can be a gift, but I do not think it should ever be a surprise to anyone in the household it is being introduced to. The household needs to be aware of the responsibilities that come with the pet, be committed to the pet's care and health, be able to afford the pet, and make preparations for its introduction to the family beforehand.
