In The Mood For Can Can Music

In The Mood For Can Can Music I was feeling a bit down and trying to perk me up a bit. Then, I hit Offenbach= Can Can Music. I can tell you that it has elevated my mood 95%. Now, I can't stop moving my feet. Have you ever tried to type while listening to this beat? I am not a fast typist but this sure helps me moving my fingers along a little faster. But I am sure that Anna @LadyDuck can go as fast as the music, as I recall her writing once about her typing speed. Anyone on MyLot want to try to type with this beat? Fun, fun, fun! Let us know the results. Too bad, they did not put this music on when I was learning typing. Offenbach - Can Can Music

OMG ! You call @LadyDuck to show her the picture of the most terrible jettatore that France had during the 19th C. Each time I see a photo of Offenbach I do this gesture to protect me against his evil eyes.

@LadyDuck I know only the horns, like on the photo. There is something else ?

@topffer, Oh La!La!, Bad gesture. I thought about Anna and sent her that piece of music, not because of the "look" of the composer, but because of the "brain" of this musician.

You surely know which is the gesture of Italian men to protect themselves against a jettatore (or meangramo).

I know that it is not considered a "lucky charm", but I love the Can Can. Now that @topffer mentions the fact that he is considered a jettatore, I remember that twice we got a speed tickets on the "Basse Corniche" from Monte-Carlo to Nice when my husband was playing a French Can Can.

@topffer I take that it was just "coincidence", but in those days, people believed everything they heard.

@marlina No matter which music he always drove too fast on the Basse Corniche, he usually remembered where the French police hide and slowed down, but those two times missed.

I am one that can't type and listen to music at the same time. I can only do justice to one or the other.

For me, it has to be strictly music, no lyrics.

The music makes me smile. I do not care what he looks like, and he certainly cannot see me. Many cartoons had classical music in the backgrounds, and I am sure that is when I first heard this music, so automatically I have happy thoughts.

I didn't know that tune had that name. I can type fairly fast but that's not the right beat for me. I also like finding a tunes to perk me up especially when I want to get extra things done around the house. My preference is Christian music though.
