Out of town

Well My lot, the day is finally here.... This year has been a real challenge since the end of August - when there were some changes discovered at the oncologist's office for my mom. After 6 weeks of outright terror and worry - we were told thankfully that her issues are not the c word. I know it is God's hand in that. But her issues are such that will require another large surgery for her and that will happen December 5th. So tonight, I will begin staying with my parents. For a week we will be in the city in which her surgery will be done as she will be in the hospital for about a week. One blessing in this is a place called the Hope Lodge, it isn't exactly a hotel - but it is free for people having treatments done , and their families to stay at. So that's where we will stay at. I am not happy that mom requires another surgery, but I am happy as this will solve some issues she's been having. On top of all this going on I will have my dad with me. Incase you haven't read my posts for a bit, he is a challenge with mobility issues, severe mental illness and now, thank you to the medical community dropping him - severe pain. I don't know what my availability to be online is going to be like, but I will try to be here as I can. Thoughts and prayers appreciated I just wanted you all to know that I'm not avoiding you. Hi Fredo - the surgery was supposed to be called an illiostomy... I don't know if I spelled that right.... but it turned into a lesser procedure - a splicing of the bowel.... sorry hope not too graphic. It went well I am very happy

Heavenly Father thank you for loving @Fayehazel and her family. Lord God I pray for the surgeons hands that you guide them Father in her mom's surgery. I pray you comfort her and give her strength to handle all she's about to go through Lord. Let her feel your loving presence Father. Help her, guide her and be with her this week. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen!

Well I wish you and your family luck, I am so glad your mom is cleared of the other, thats great news. You are very strong to go through all of this and stick by their sides, it must be such a challenge dealing with your moms issues and also have your dads as well. Bless you Faye, there are good things awaiting you.

@FayeHazel You have a right to be a little down sometimes, you are handling a lot of things on that plate of yours, but your still right there by their sides helping where you can. They are very lucky to have a daughter like you. I am glad your mom is feeling better, things will start looking up for you now.

@cintol Thanks, I needed that today. Sometimes I panic.... that this is how life is now. But now, this like so many others is always in change. Thanks! I appreciate that. If it were not for the extreme moods and clinginess - I wouldn't mind this near as much I will trust in what you say :-)

Thank you so much for you words of encouragement, I really did need that .... I have been feeling a little melancholy .... I try, I really do. Thankfully things have been slightly calming down a little.... When I get too impatient, I remind myself of the blessing of mom's health and that it wasn't anything other than some misplaced scar tissue... wheew

That is definitely good news. Man, I swear, I HATE cancer. Probably one of the most horrible diseases someone can get. I hope, with all of the trillions of dollars that has been thrown at research, that one day there is a cure for all forms of it. Hate to hear she has to undergo surgery. But so long as it's not the Big C, that's good news indeed.

I so agree. We need a cure for all the types. Hateful stupid illness. So true. We were worried here but I'm happy to say that when they operated, they found no c. -it's great. I'm so happy. Thank God

@porwest Yknow, I think you're right. Some scientists were on to stuff, way back when.... and it used to be called the "cancer virus", but is no longer called as such.... it is unfortumate that business could get in the way of something as important as a cure.

@FayeHazel I am usually not a conspiracy theorist, but when it comes to cancer it is SUCH big business, I am sure there are more cures out there than we will ever know. I hope the good news continues for you over there.

Thank you so much. I'm very happy , and no cancer, only healthy tissue when they were doing the surgery. It has been very trying otherwise, but when I am upset I remind myself of that fact. Hug.
