This afternoon one of my neighbors dropped in for a little visit. I put on a pot of coffee, made up a plate of cookies, and we went out to the screen room to sit and have a chat. We talked about a the things that popped into our heads. It was a nice visit until... I mentioned that I really needed to get myself together and out to the stores. I have a lot of Christmas shopping to do. She looked at me and said "I can help you if you like. I have all of my shopping done." Now I know she was offering to help out of the goodness of her heart but I just couldn't believe it. Then I found out that the gifts are already wrapped and tagged. What??? Who does that this early? Actually I am a bit envious that she is totally prepared for Christmas this early. Do you know anyone that is this organized? Are you ready for Christmas?

I did in the past, because we traveled often, when I had time during the year I bought presents and by the end of November I had everything ready. Many times we have been abroad the first two weeks of December. When you come back there is so much to do and no time to wrap presents.

It sounds like you had a good plan. If I was traveling I would be picking up gifts along the way.

I think it could be done little by little, it's also difficult to cram when it's very near. Usually we start to buy ingredients for the holiday foods first to avoid the grocery rush, prices also go up as it nears. I think your friend is a little bit too early but I see nothing wrong with that, I think it's almost impossible to be 100 percent done, things always pop up on an important holiday.

She is one of those very organized people. I know she has the gifts all brought, wrapped, and tagged. As for Christmas dinner she didn't say a word about it.

@HazySue I know people who are like that, so neat and organized, sometimes too much for comfort, I wonder if it diminishes the excitement of a holiday, the Christmas rush in a way makes it exciting for me lol!

@louievill I love looking at the decorations in the mall. Sometimes I think you can be too organized.

My sister in law makes that early too. By November, she is done and all gift wrapped. I am at awe.

I too am in awe. Looking back I don't know how I did it either when my kids were small.

It sounds like you can take your time and choose the gifts you need to give. When the amount of gifts are down in number it is easier to go later and maybe catch a good sale.

Wow, I used to be organized and all set for Christmas early when my girls were younger. I envy people who can be organized continuously.

She must be Type A or extremely organized. I work best doing things at the last minute.

I waiting till the last minute one year only. I had to fight crowds and settle for something less than I wanted so I try to make sure I am ready at least two days before Christmas. I simply can't get organized anymore.

I was in the mall a couple of days ago and the sales assistant asked me if I'd finished my Christmas shopping yet. I had to admit I hadn't even started!

My best friend is like that. Always ready and so organized. She has already wrapped Christmas gifts already too while I have not even started doing the shopping.

It is funny how friends can be total opposites. I had a long-time friend that was always late. As for me I am always early.
