It is said that honesty is the best policy. But I have also heard people saying that 'honest people are those who have had no opportunity of being dishonest'. What are your views? I feel that honesty combined with integrity and hard work can pay you rich dividends in your professional life, in long run.

Yes, I always believe in this. By being honest you never have feeling of guilt and you always keep your head high. This is one of my basic quality and I am happy with it!

I worked for over forty years and I can testify the greatest reward of being honest has been living with a clear conscience. People knew me for my integrity - siva

Being honest is good for any one. People those are honest never want to change their words every now and then.

That's true. Although I believe that honesty is the best policy, there are dire situations where a person might be forced to be less than honest. Not a good place to be but it happens.
