People celebrate Christmas there are parades tv shows and all kinda of stuff. A lot of people think its propaganda its about the bottom lines for stores and toy companies to make their money like black Friday in the states. Some folk thinks about the birth of Christ. Which I am not disputing this maybe what it started out to be but it ended up with all the other nonsense in between what do you think about this situation.

No doubt Christmas is about money and money does not buy love

People are full of the meaning of Christmas for a couple of days and feel virtuous, then for the rest of year it is back to the old habits

These days shops are helping us to have a Christmas time that it way out of control. Black Friday had half price Christmas trees and 3 for the price of 2 Christmas accessories like tinsel or things to hang on the Christmas tree. In the shop some of the Christmas displays looked stunning for example it made me purchase 2 sets of Christmas lights and 1 new Christmas tree. Lots of non religious people celebrate Christmas. Yes, it is about the birth of Christ. I imagine The Vatican City would be wonderful at Christmas time. I went there one Easter Time and that was special.

@William21001 In spite of what they say, the pain in the wallet is far worse than pain anywhere else a man can think of.

We wouldn't have Christmas if not for the belief in our religion and the birth of Christ. But so much of how we celebrate Christmas has to do with traditions and the love and preservation of those traditions. I agree that the gifts, decorations and food is nice. But even the way in which gifts are distributed or opened, when decorations are put up and what they include and what food is served and the cherished recipes used to prepare them are what make traditions. Without that I do not think that the holiday would be what it is to many people.
