A Day On The Homestead

First thing about today is that it is a cold winter day, much like we have in February.The was 42 F / 5 C with a light wind and full sun.
I got the Christmas tree decorations out of the shed.
Next I had to make sure the dogs had a full doghouse of pine straw, so I walked to the woods and brought in, walked, 4 five buckets of pine straw to the doghouse.
Today is a good day to plant or replant so I set out three Maple trees, I think they are red maples. Thanks to @CarolDM for the reminder, since she planted trees too.
I walked my 15 laps (60 city blocks) and my cheeks were so cold.
I picked enough turnips and greens to fill that 5 gallon bucket I used for the pine straw.
Now its just before dark, 4:25, and I am sitting resting. I check my blood sugar and it was a normal 86.
Its nice and warm inside, I will cook dinner and decorate the tree.

@andriaperry That wouldn't work for me. I'd forget and start wondering whether I said 12 or 13.

Sounds like a busy, but still a good day (at least I hope)! And that's a good blood sugar :) I am so glad when mine are in that range! Hope you have a good dinner, and a nice evening in the warmth.

@andriaperry Well that is good that you like busy! I understand, my place gets that way though because I don't like busy lol.
