Hello everyone! December month is a busy month for me when I am in my home country. I will be having 2 Christmas party at home. The one with my high school friends and the one with my family, my siblings and their families. Gladfully, the one with my friends is on the 15th while for my relatives is on the 25th, dinner party and some games to play. I am already making a list of what to cook and bake. I think I will make the same food for the parties with a few changes. I am thinking of making potato salad, lumpia (spring rolls), sweet and sour tilapia, Mechado, maybe adobo, etc.... For the desserts, I will make a no bake Black Forest cake, moist chocolate cake and maybe chocolate balls for the kids. No, I will not be having a Lechon (Filipino pork roast). Most of my friends have high blood pressure. Besides that, I am not fond of lechon although I sometimes eat it when I am invited in a party. What about you? Any plans yet for Christmas dinner?

We are only two this year Thelma, my husband and I. This does not mean that I am not going to make a special dinner. Surely homemade tortellini, scallops in a creamy saffron sauce, shrimps on a bed of "Russian Salad" and y chocolate Yule Log cake.

I have made Fetuccini with Longganisa in tomato sauce. Longganisa is a Filipino sausage. It was the first time I used this Sausage in my pasta and it was delicious. Then, spring rolls, roasted chicken, sweet and sour fish, chopchuy, adobo and many others. The dessert were Black Forest cake and pumpkin cupcakes. We have cooked a lot that I have plenty of leftover although my friends were bringing some food home. I freezed the leftover and eating them one by one this week until it is consumed. Thanks @DianneN. Good night.

I seldom go to a party @sofssu but when my friends asked me to have this Christmas party to be held in my home, I said yes. It was fun as my best friend since elementary grade did a sleepover in my home. We had a lot of fun.

@thelme55 she cooks her own spaghetti sauce. i should say it is more delicious than that of Jollibee. i do not know what she puts into, but it (the sauce) can already be ''ulam'' or viand.

That sounds yummy @ridingbet. Does your sister make a Filipino style spaghetti or the original Italian spaghetti?

I was introduced to lumpia when I lived on Guam. My neighbor was Philippino and she shared some with me. I love them. I hope you have a good time at both parties. I don't have plans yet.

I think we may be going to my sister-in-law's for Christmas but we might take some ham or a turkey roll to add to whatever else she is making. I still need to consult with her about this.

We will be having our Christmas party on the 22nd. I plan to smoke a pork butt roast this year. We used to have a tradition of lobster tails on Christmas, but we've kind of gotten away from that and now every year we try a little something different.

I'm interested on no bake cakes. I think one main dish, ham, and tuna macaroni salad is enough for us.

I prefer to cook the food based on what may be good for stomach at that time. mostly more cold means boiled and fried food works in some capacity.
