Have you found old friends on social media

I hope that you find your friend. Modern times give us social media and it is an excellent place to find lost friends.

I have friends on Facebook so I go on to that site. I prefer My Lot to spend some of my time. It is great that you have found old friends on Facebook.

It is so much fun to meet up with old friends. I went to a further education college reunion. Not many people turned up. I saw a couple that I was friends with. When I was living in Kent I kept up my friendship with a man that loves to travel. I really wish to find him. He comes from Wales and has a common name.

My friend lived with a man for 10 years and then they split up. He has a 28 year old daughter that she was step parent to. I hope to find a friend I was friends with at a further education college. He made a comment and I don't know his contact details.

@DianneN He did a trip around the world. He drove a really cool looking car and he took to the site of out old further education college. I moved to a new area in 2005.

Facebook is a great place to find friends. I had a message from a lady and she turned out to be my sister's best friend in the past. She emigrated to Australia so it is hard to meet up with her. At least we have Facebook.

@Lignitecityabishek96 One friend on Facebook has daily business news that shows photos of all he is up to. I think he wishes to get more subscribers and it gets too much for me and his other friends. I think it is lovely you have found a few of your childhood mates on Facebook.

Yes, she has proved she is my friend. I asked another friend and it turns out he was at primary school with her. I met her at secondary school. She was in a relationship for 10 years yet she didn't manage to have any children.

It is wonderful that you found your old neighbour. I would like to find the girl and boy that lived next door to us when we were children. The girl moved to America to work with yachts with rich people. The boy stayed in my home country, got married and had children. When my mum moved into a care home I got given her address book to contact relatives and friends. I made contact on the phone with the those kids dad and sadly he now cares for his poorly wife. It is so lovely that soon you will share visits with your old friend. Sorry you couldn't find your other old friend. At least the lady with the same name as your old friend wrote to you.

@maximax8 It is nice to meet old neighbors again. Sometimes they move away to another place like the neighbor girl you mentioned, and it can be hard to meet again. My neighbor and I used to be close friends and I am very happy to talk to her again. I hope that I will manage to meet the other friend again, but I not sure if she still has the same name, maybe she got married and changed her name,

It is amazing that you found estranged family members. Hopefully you will find more of them in the future. We met a Spanish lady and she introduced us to a Chinese man. She adopted him when he was a baby.

@maximax8 Yes I found them for good or for bad as I lost one of them but I still have connection with her children. Amazing story of the Spanish woman too. I hope I will find others also here´s to that for everyone.

Friends ask if I can upload my travel photos onto Facebook. However anyone can see these. For example in 2012 I posted some and didn't say where the places were. I think it is dangerous to post you are away from home since someone might burgle your home. My daughter's school say not to put photos of the children on social media. I totally agree with what you said. Thank you.

@tech40 My best friend said for my Facebook photo to be my photo of me wearing a hat. It is nasty if someone follows you on Facebook. I know a man that always have news about his business. I believe it is way too personal.

@maximax8 Yup that is correct! They might even follow you! That is why I don't like posting photo's of myself to social media, if you're going to check my facebook profile my last picture uploaded is since 2015

My mum was born in 1933 and she never got into using laptops, computers, tablets or smart phones. Yes, your generation aren't attracted by social media. When my mum moved into a care home I made contact with the man she used to live next door to. Sadly his wife is poorly and he cares for her. I called my mum's friend that used to visit us very often. I also made contact with people my mum worked with.

@maximax8 I use computers since 1979, but I am an exception and I was not born in the 30's, but in the 50's.

I will keep on writing to my friend. She is the same age as me and we were in the same year group at secondary school. I would love to travel to London and meet her and a few other old friends.

I am delighted that you have found friends over the years. It is funny that your grandmother's cousin and one of your father's cousins contacted you via social media. I wrote an book and put it on Amazon Kindle. A old friend reviewed it and I haven't been able to find him on social media. I wish I could get back in contact with him.

I was close with that friend when we were at secondary school and when we were 16 to 18 years old. I went to work in Finland and come home on an inter rail pass. I worked in London for a couple of years. Then I went on my round the world trip.

I have to keep using Facebook because I have dear friends on it. It is lovely you have found old friends.
