Ready to eat an avocado. / myLot

Yesterday, when I went to the Bank, I passed by the supermarket for a couple of things I needed. There were some nice avocados that were not on my list, but at a very good price. I bought a couple of kilos as I bought the piece of meat that is now in my Dutch oven, ready to eat in part and ready to put away too. I usually make a paste with an avocado and add salt and olive oil to serve over a piece of bread. But today I will spoon it and eat it alone. A couple of them are just of the perfect consistency to do that. Do you eat avocados?

Yes, but I have yet to eat it like that. I have sliced it to have in salad and I've added it to my eggs and then as a dip

I eat avocado but I haven't tasted it like you did. In the Philippines, we make a paste with avocado and condensed milk and refrigerate it... So delicious.

I buy avacado regularly but not in kilos. In Australia the price is a little too much for this useful item (it was $3 each or $5 for 2 today) so I generally buy 4-6 pieces a week and use them mostly in morning breakfast. The size of avacado here is little bigger though.

It depends on the type of the avocado. Here the ones that are more expensive are the Hass avocados. And even there, they depend on the size. Smaller ones are less expensive. Then there are some avocados that are only sold in the country. They are cheaper, but they don´t look so beautiful.

It is not cheap here either, although we export them. But these were not expensive. Maybe because they were too small.

I don´t buy them usually because they are expensive. But all Tuesdays, my friend who come to tea bring me one just for me. They care more about other things I have for them.
