Knock You Naked / myLot

Don't fret that I've gone over to the dark side. The title of this post is actually the first three words for the name of the cheesecake my missus is making for our Camping Club's party tomorrow evening. The full name is Knock You Naked Red Velvet Cheesecake. She found the recipe online and is at this moment involved in trying to make it. Our attendance at the party is dependent upon what the weather here in NC does over the next 24 hours. We are hoping the wintry mix forecast to hit our area holds off until after the party is over tomorrow evening. Is the weather going to impact any of your plans for the weekend?

We are in the 6-10 inch range. I am wanting that snow. I think you guys are going to be more rain than anything. Also, that looks divine. You'll have to let us know how it tastes.

I'll take some pictures when my wife finishes baking hers. The reason I don't want snow or ice is I don't want to miss anymore school days.

@DWDavis How many have you missed so far? I think the kids here have missed two or three? I can't remember. My nephew was telling me that one of the days was forgiven or something like that.

@ScribbledAdNauseum We missed 4 days. One was forgiven. We've made one up already. We have two more makeup days scheduled. If we wind up with snow days we'll be adding them to the end of the year.

We are right on the line between rain and wintry mix according to the last forecast I saw, but if we go to the party we might wind up trying to drive home in the messy stuff.

@DWDavis My parents live in the High Point area. I think they might get it. Where is Pikeville? I have heard of it, but not sure where it is.

I don't think I'll ever stopped being amazed that you cross an international boundary to do your grocery shopping. I suppose it's because our nearest boundary is a thousand miles away.

@DWDavis Most of my life I have lived near an international border. When I lived in France we were 20 miles from the Italian border, now we are even closer.

Why do you buy grocery in Italy? Are things cheaper there or of better quality? Or do you get things in Italy which you can't get in Switzerland? Or just for the fun of going to Italy every now and then - and drinking a *real* coffee? :-)

If we weren't so looking forward to seeing so many of our friends at the party, we wouldn't even think about heading out this weekend. We're just hoping the storm holds off long enough.

@NJChicaa Our part of NC is just far enough from the ocean to have to worry about storms like this one. We always seem to be on the edge of whatever bad winter weather moves through the state.

@DWDavis We don't usually get bad weather until January or February. Our close proximity to the ocean protects us most of the time but every now and then there are just huge storms that come and blast us. Local snow storms are usually rain for us b/c we are so close to the ocean. But we also can get 2 feet of snow when systems collide together.

Do you live near Seoul or further south? I was stationed near Dong Du Chon back in the mid1980s and in my 22 months there grew to love South Korea.
