A thought worth sharing..

Or so I think.. I was reading a book and came across a line I thought worth sharing. "Its good to remember that a tea kettle although up to its neck in hot water continues to sing." I wish everyone had the attitude of the tea kettle. There would be no complaining, no rants, no murmuring and muttering under ones breath.. life would be a song.. The world would be filled with melody and harmony.. music and song, whistles not whines, happiness not anger.. Would you like a world like that? Become the change you would like to see.. I am telling that to myself.. not preaching it to you..

That is a good message that I also want to impress on myself as I wait for God to bring that world around one day soon. I should keep working on being what I want the world to be. That was nice of you to share that with us!

@sofssu Yes, yes, yes! Yesterday, I was doing something but not getting much results. I was ready to quit. Then, I remembered why I was doing it. It was because God commanded that his friends should do that. I came to the conclusion that some things should be done even if there are no immediate results. We should do them just because God wants us to do them and to find the pleasure not in the immediate results but because we are being obedient to God.

@sofssu Thank you! Sometimes it takes a long time before we see a seed sprout. (Galatians 6:9)

@1hopefulman we are called to be the light to the world. So we ought to be the ones singing even when we are up to our necks in hot water.

Ahh, but an empty kettle rattles the loudest! I always wondered about that saying until I realized that the people who are doing the rants, murmuring, muttering, raves, and tantrums gather the most attention and it's the people who don't spend their time complaining and so on are the ones who get the work done. I have had people come to me with everything from a broken fingernail on their perfectly manicured nails to their car breaking down and worse. I take in all that they have to complain about, sympathize with them a bit and then tell them to get a grip if anyone has anything to complain about it's me. My house burned down in October 2017 and I couldn't get insurance for it and I'm waiting for the power company to pay up...so if you can't get a grip normally get some dentugrip that might help. And then I walk off. I would love to see a world where the people share their wealth and help others that can't get the supplies they need. I also would like to see people get their dogs and cats spayed and neutered so that we don't have the overpopulation we're having. As soon as my animals are old enough that's where they go, to get that part of their life taken care of so that they don't keep populating the world.

@BearArtistLady An empty kettle does rattle the loudest.. they are the attention seekers.. it is their reward also. but the silent ones build character and live like heroes.. True..it would be a wonderful world where all are equal and wealth is also equally distributed.. but when that won't happen, we still have our own lives to live happily. Hope all things work out in your favor.

@sofssu One day it will, as one of the organizations I belonged to as a kid used to say: "Patience is the best reward". I will be patient and hopefully one day I'll have a house again and all the things that go with it. But I'm also happy living with my boyfriend and disrupting his house.

I have realized that happiness and money does not depend on others and we have to take the step first. :)

Tea kettles and such have been serving us selflessly from time immemorial even singing tunes as they deliver the hot drinks. And we, the apex predators, are difficult to please! Yes, looking around us we can learn not only from other species how fortunate we are - siva

@Shiva49 Oh yes we are indeed insatiable and if only we can open our eyes and see we could learn a lot.. but I guess we need a deep searching spirit and a desire.. to look for things invisible.

@sofssu I take this life as a spiritual journey and we are sparks of the divine with the potential to rise higher in consciousness. We should always be aware of the blessings starting with the divine energy that sustains us all - siva

@sofssu All beliefs teach us the same - as you sow, so shall you reap. I think this is a great guide and also - do unto others as you would have them do unto you - siva

It takes all sorts to make this world. It would be a boring world if everyone sang like the kettle. There are some who get satisfaction reaching out. And who will they reach out to if there is no one around who complains?

@sofssu Unless one complains or makes their problems known it will be difficult to know who they are. My sister did that She hid her financial condition and later complained no one helped her

@allknowing Complaining makes one miserable and difficult to handle the situation. Its better to look for options. Each case may be different.

@allknowing we usually reach out to homeless people who don't complain but sleep wherever they find a place .. you can always find the needy.. but they needy could find happiness even in their need if the have their right attitude.
