A fun, long day

After we saw Bob's friend we went to the library. It is a beautiful place to go. Of course we got new books to read. I need to save some reading material for next Thursday when Bob will have his medical procedures. That would be to distract me while it is going on. We usually leave Bob at my sister's house when she and I head out to shop. Or I go to town alone to get her. Bob found the Army-Navy Football game on television while we were gone. My sister wanted to order food and feed us. We had a scrumptious Supreme Pizza while Bob finished watching the game. One thing my sister had needed, and wanted help with, was new burner bowls for her electric stove. She had never replaced them before. We grew up with gas stoves. I helped her find what she needed, and I replaced them for her. Yes, even though I had to unplug the burners, they all still work. I made sure of it. I also helped hang a new treat for Gypsy, the love bird. Her former owner had bought her a new, bigger cage for Christmas. The bird seems more content, and screeches less. I found what I think will work on my project with the painted tree. I promise to tell all when I am done. I bought some headsets in case I can get hired for an online customer service job. It was good to visit with my sister and I hope to do it a little more often. My next stop before going to bed will be a couple of survey sites. Then I will be done. Hope today was good for you.

Sounds like you've had a very busy day. I meant to take some books back to the library today, but I didn't get around to it. I wonder how long they will sit in my car before I do return them. I don't want to check out any more because my Kindle is full and I have three months of a Kindle Unlimited trial subscription I got for .99. I want to read all I can in those three months before I cancel.

All I forget in my car are recyclables and reusable grocery bags.

I feel really sorry for big birds in small cages. No wonder some of them screech so much

I know, and yet these are raised for captivity. The other household used to have lots of fighting and such, and the bird may have picked up on that.

@GardenGerty Even raised for captivity, their natural instincts wouldn't suddenly disappear.

I am so jealous with the survey sites. Do you earn from it. We are not qualified here in Asia. Anyway, you are so helpful... and selfless.. merry Christmas. What is a gypsy bird by the way.

Gypsy is a lovebird. My sister's neighbor owned her. The neighbor has lung problems and pet birds make them worse. Yes, I earn a little from survey sites, but as we all know a little is better than nothing at all and it all adds up.

I feel sorry all the time I see birds in cages. I hope that Gypsy is a bit less sad now.

Gypsy is much happier living with my sister instead of where she came from. My sister talks to her, sings and whistles for her. when my niece comes to visit she shows the bird videos on her phone.

@GardenGerty Birds also have sentiments, they are not objects.

Glad the bird getting a bigger cage helped quiet him some.

It was a great, freezing cold day! Hope all goes well with your husband's procedures. Such times can be so difficult.

Is your weather kind of unusual this year.?

@GardenGerty My answer would be yes, b/c we have snow on the ground now and usually this does not happen until after winter actually starts. Some others disagree and say they have seen many snowstorms in what is technically autumn.

Yes, it was a good day. Warm and sunny and I went out for a walk and picked up a few things I needed. Then rested and worked on my PC. Life is good now that I am getting paid each week on Textbroker. It helps a lot. Made my mood lighter and even though all I planned on setting out this Christmas was a small nativity because of my still sad memories I broke down and ordered a string of purple light just to put up so things look merrier. I love purple so the red and the green wouldn't do it for me. Hope you have a great Sunday.

You had a good day with the library and your sister. I'm looking forward to seeing your painted tree project. A headset is a must for customer service.

For a change it was not all on the computer. It was good. Even if I do not like to watch football.
