Made my first Ebates purchase / myLot

What is everyone up to on this Sunday? Normally it is my day off of work but I decided to come in for a little 5 hour stint of overtime, although since I am here and only on hour 3 I feel like it was a mistake and I should be at home sipping a mojito instead. My sleep schedule has been so messed up anyhow, so I figured why not do something that will keep me awake for a little longer and earn a little bit of extra money doing it? Yesterday I used the Ebates site for the first time. I signed up for a Groupon (and bought a Groupon as a gift for a secret santa for a co-worker). I bought her a brewery tour as well as a free print with a souvineer glass, all for $18. And on top of that Ebates gave me $3 and change into my account for buying it through their link. I am sold! Anyone else finding any good deals lately?

I thought about using Ebates.....but never really got into it. Glad you got three dollars into your account so far!

Ebates is pretty good. I cashed out for $7 or $8 not too long ago.

Exactly. I do a lot of online shopping at a lot of these sites... Walmart, gap, old navy...

@maezee I don't have a lto of money to spend, but I'd be using etsy the most for sure. I've used ebates to get some things from ebay, etsy and rainbow shops.

Glad it works for you. I have three sites I already use to get points or cash back so ebates wasn't working for me.

That's great! I've never used Groupon. I do use Ebates though. I've used it twice. As soon as I have $5 they'll send me a check.

I wonder how different Ebates is in comparison to Swagbucks when it comes to shopping. I use Swagbucks. Not sure I can even participate in Ebates if I already use Swagbucks. But maybe I can...

Yeah! I want to buy some Groupons for myself to do some new things too. I am not sure if it was a promotional rate or promo but on eBates it was 18% cash back on Groupon but then after my purchase it dropped down to 6%. Weird stufff!
