I have said it more than once, I am so sick of food! I have even threatened to open up a cookbook and use someone else`s recipes!
But I still got a little bit of brain cells left, So.... as I passed a few restaurants I thought " okay I got it."
I made meatball subs, Angie style.
Since Tony is having a hard time right now breathing any scents from cooking and its to cold to leave the doors open I went for fully cooked and I just put it all together.
I used BBQ bread instead of a french loaf, cuts down on the bread, and making them open face also helped.
I bought bag of frozen meatballs, fully cooked I could microwave, instead of making them homemade.
Same with the sauce, I used Ragu instead of homemade.
So I toasted the bbq bread.
Heated the meatballs.
Heated the ragu.
Mixed the meatballs with the ragu and heated for minute together.
I placed a slice of toast on a plate, topped with the ragu soaked meatballs and topped with mozzarella cheese.
It was a winner!
Tony asked for seconds and told me how he enjoyed dinner tonight.
What did you have for dinner?

He is my job, if I cook and it bothers him I have to be the one to make sure he breathes, usually with some medication or inhaler. I will avoid that pain in the azz.

@andriaperry Well, all I can say is that you do your job really well and with great conscientiousness. (Whew, that's a big word!)

Home made cornbread, left over pinto beans. Banana muffins. Not real healthy, but real cheap and easy.

I haven´t had dinner yet and I don´t know if I will. I had a coffee with Leticia before she went home and then, later, I spooned one of the delicious avocados I bought 3 days ago.

Glad it turned out so good. It does sound tasty. I went with chicken and dumplings again. Thinking I need to try something new to as I seem to be in a rut.

One question..what is barbecue bread? I hope Tony appreciates all your sacrifices. My first roomie had COPD and reacted to certain scents too. I had fish, potato croquets and peas.

I salute you and I wish I can tell Tony how lucky he is to have you in his life :-)
1 time my daughter and I had lunch at Panda Express and I am sorry but I lost my appetite.
There was this wife with her husband who seems to be really sick, basing on his cough.
It was really freezing outside and just the thought, she had to let him have lunch outside of their house (?) How could she let her husband get out of their house to have lunch outside on a freezing day ?!
If she wanted something from Panda Express, she could have ordered take out and took it home without sacrificing her husband's health.
So now you know that your Tony is lucky to have you :-)

Ragu is a name brand of a tomato based sauce used for spaghetti, or any pasta. I used it for all sorts for dishes.
