This will be a hot day here. Even though usually it is chilly at dawn, it has not been so today.
Where I live December is the hottest month of the year and our poor Santas in front of some stores must be very unhappy with his winter wardrobe
.
I am wiser and will go gather the fruit from the trees to start with my jams in shorts and an old T shirt.
I´ll come back to mylot when the house starts getting filled with sweet aromas from the simmering fruit.

I remember my mother making jam in a huge pot on a wood fire. The jam had to be continually stirred so it wouldn't 'catch' on the bottom of the pan. It was hard on the arms to stir such a huge amount and she would be very hot. But of course I'm sure you know all about that.

I make them in the gas stove. And the pot is not that huge so it is not a big deal.
