Cinnamon--Yum! Yum!

I love cinnamon. Cinnamon in cakes and cookies, cinnamon in my tea and coffee, cinnamon in my cider too. I especially enjoy cinnamon rolls. So, for me to find out that delicious cinnamon is really good for me was quite a nice surprise. Here's just a few of the pluses: * It has some great oxidants in it which have anti-inflammatory effects on the body which help to lower the risk of many diseases. * Cinnamon helps to improve risk factors toward heart disease such as blood pressure, cholesterol, and triglycerides. * It has been shown to significantly increase the sensitivity to the hormone insulin. * It also has a very potent anti-diabetic effect to reduce fasting blood sugar levels to 1-6 grams per day. Or 0.5 - 2 teaspoons per day.

I didnĀ“t know that cinnamon was so healthy. But as soon as I read your post, I ran to add cinnamon to the apricot cake I was making.

I like cinnamon as well especially cinnamon rolls. And toast with cinnamon sugar.
