I'm being held hostage

I have some phone calls I need to make, but I'm being held hostage right now by someone who is supposed to call me "between 10 AM and Noon." It's 11:50 AM now, and I'm still sitting here like an idiot.
At least I was able to make some latkes for breakfast and brew up some coffee.
On to another subject, my Winter sunflower has survived two nights with temperatures in the 30s F (about 3 C). I'll attach a picture I took this morning.
Yesterday's music party was fun, though I was "too stuffed to jump" after we were done eating.
Do you hate being held hostage by Comcast and other entities that give you a "window" when they will call?

I really resent having to wait for calls or deliveries either one.

There should be automatic disconnect, with calls recorded, at both ends. The party (Comcast) should be able to call up the person, and answer the query. At the customer's end, there should be phone record to prove to others that Comcast didn't call for so many days months and years which should entitle the person for some compensation.

That's what I like about the cell phone. I can leave the house and take it with me. If I'm expecting a phone call I'll still get it. Some people have no respect for other's time.

I hate when I have to sit and wait for someone to come or to call and they are late and do not call to let me know they are still coming. I had a plumber that I waited for and he never showed up or called so I had to find someone else. It is very frustratng.

@TheHorse - I've been using eMail and social media messages for years. It's not preferred. It's just affordable. All of my kids have cell phones. If I have to use a phone I'll just borrow their phone.

I don't mind having to wait if the amount of time is reasonable like a morning or afternoon. But waiting on a call? Perhaps giving them a cellphone number would be better. You can take it with you if you need to go out.

@TheHorse Oh. Unusual for today, but probably very cost effective.

Oh I despise having to wait for calls or if someone hangs up and says I'll call back in a minute but a will passes and there is no call back or even a cutousy text

I feel like by being a Comcast customer that is a hostage situation and they are hoping you go through Stockholm syndrome but it just will never happen.
