It is fun to look through the fog when you sit besides the window with a steaming mug of coffee. The steam from the mug seems to challenge the fog outside in a race to make the window streaky and striped. The poor guy refuses to acknowledge the fact that he is no match for the fog outside or the woman cradling him in a cup When the coffee is downed and the body feels a bit warm. things don't seem all that good anymore. Walking the dog which was always a joy now becomes a chore. The fuzzy warmth inside is no match for the cold fog outside .. It sends shivers down the spine.. I have to layer myself with warm clothing to make that tedious trip outside the house.. The road seems dark and forlorn, no one embraces him willingly. Like a snake stoned and left to die in pain. The little birdies don't seem to chirp so much now, they aren't even visible right now. Maybe once in a while brave young lad makes a trilling noise somewhere, but no mate answers his call. The little school children who are always bright and cheerful are now dressed to look like penguins and are subdued in their chatter and laughter. The grass looks bejeweled with diamonds and glitter as the shy rays of the sun poke through the fog. The buds in their turn are overloaded with precious stones and hang their head with the weight they carry. They hesitate to bloom. Do not be deceived the sun isn't as shy as it seems now, in an hour he will be up in the sky, blazing hot with a vengeance to wipe away all traces of moisture on the grass, all feeling of cold in the people and all signs of winter from the land.. He has a point to prove.. he beats winter 10 nil ..that is the tropical sun for you... How is your day in your side of the Globe?
