You bought me and then you use me, I am happy but you crushed me. After that in the bin, you toss me. I cried out loud but no one heard me. I was seen several times but ignored freely, I may not be pretty either ugly. You can reuse, recycle or modify me, Pick me up, pick up, I am here take me. *** Buying food in plastic containers is a trend here. I hate plastic cups but sometimes I have no choice. Then instead of throwing after a use, I always recycle plastics I bought and this one of ways of doing this. **** Do you recycle, reuse or modify?

Funny, I was just thinking the other day. We get this very thin plastic. We can use those to make flowers. And those flowers can be made into something like a rug which can be soft and allow elderly to sleep on them when they are in hospitals instead of those hard beds on which they keep on sliding.

Why are you making the elderly people in India sleep on beds they can slide off of, vanny? Isn't that considered elderly abuse?

e of course. haha. anyway, the recycling here is the disposable cup/glass. lol.. .there is a lot of vendors here selling cold drinks and they always served them in this kind of cup/glass. I am an environmental freak, so when I see the trash with a lot of these, my head grows bigger and i go insane.

We keep some our plastic containers. We keep our coins in them, I also use some of them for my pens and pencils. I think that it a good to use them again instead of just throwing them away.

@Mavic123456 Yes, it is a good idea to use them again. I do that with many things. I keep my paint brushes in old bottles and I reuse old coffee tins. I wash them and use them for my art things.

Cute! In the 1950s-60s crafts were very popular. I had an aunt that made loads of craft items from empty plastic dish detergent bottles, plastic jugs, all kinds of things. Her women's group would sell them at their church bazaar. I don't think there were craft stores like we have today, crafters made things from common household items instead of throwing them away. Today crafts are quite different. So for my aunt and other crafters back then - they were reusing or recycling before there was ever a call for it. I don't buy plastic unless I have to but we have recycling options here. I seldom have anything I can reuse like you do. But I have a feeling that if you came to visit you'd find something. Your toilet paper holder is very creative.

@Mavic123456 See, I don't buy any drinks like that - everything I buy is from the grocery store and I try to buy only in glass containers. But all glass and plastic is picked up by the city for recycling. It's good though that you can make things from it because it helps to keep you busy. I know you like to be busy doing stuff.

@deazil oh yeah and since I move a lot so when I move if I will put this in the plastic bin for recycling, I won't feel bad. you know I can have this kind again when I will be in another work or another house. I always throw in the plastic bin all plastic.

I don't think we can put drink cups into the recycle bin each month, but we can put milk jugs along with many other types of plastic, most papers, and cardboard which included food containers. We're not allowed to put Styrofoam into the bins for getting picked up but they can be taken directly to the site where the collection is sorted through. My sister brings her styrofoam from detroit. I'm guessing they do recycling there, but it's easier to access our recycling center when she visits than it would be if they take it in the one in Detroit. I've wondered before why they won't take stryrofoam in the bins, but maybe it's because it can fly away easily if the wind catches it when it's being dumped. By the way, cute poem. I had to laugh at the way you personalized the toilet paper.

yes, I hope the manufacturing of styro stops. this is really bad. I think yes the styro has a different way of recycling I think. I also hate those plastic rings, binding the cans. argh!!! haha... thanks you think it's the toilet paper speaking, I can't imagine recycling the toilet paper in a different way except humus way. haha Thanks again, I am glad you appreciate it

I like to use things in different ways too, I always have a plastic cup with lid and straw in my refrigerator and I fill it up several times, then before tossing it out, I keep it by the kitchen sink for a little trash can as my regular can is around the corner. It saves steps and gives it one ore use, . That way it gets used more than just one drink.
