Christmas Lights

What are your favorite type of Christmas lights, if you have favorites?
My favorites have always been strings of lights with many colors. When I first came to Japan, that is what I missed most at Christmas. Now they are available so I bought some. I am even using them on the stage for my Christmas program. I also have some in my office strung on my bookshelves.
I love candles, but I never light them at home, partly because I am not sitting still in one room very often, and partly because I have cats. One of my cats a long time ago got very curious and singed one side of her whiskers off with a candle, so I don't use them any more. I have a few for emergencies, but I'm more likely to use battery-operated lights in that case, because if there is an earthquake and aftershocks, a candle could get knocked over.
I think all white or all blue lights are really pretty too.
I guess I just like Christmas lights.

I don't really like using candles as so many houses here have burnt down because a candle has been knocked over or been too close to curtains or whatever. I love the little fairy lights that we use for our concerts. I'm sure your office looks lovely with its lights.

I have candles in my house, but I am very careful when I use them. I don't have any blue lights, but I use white lights and some small heart sharped red lights that I wrap around on of the lamps in the living room. I would like to buy more colorful lights, but they are not easy fo find there, and most people use white lights.

I like candles though I am scared of being hurt by fire. My sister's mother in law lit a candle and then went to sleep. Her curtains caught fire and the fire badly damaged her apartment. She was rescued by a neighbour of hers. I have small colourful battery lights that I use and electrical Christmas tree lights. I like still lights white or colourful. I don't like flashing lights. Yes, blue lights are the ones I like the most. They look incredibly pretty.

I love Christmas twink lights too. When I was a kid, I preferred the candy colored ones that we had. Now that I'm older I prefer the simple cool white that blinks or fades slowly. It's a good thing that my little girls are OK with the white lights as well.

I've always loved basic white lights, something about them still seems magical to me. but the colored strings of lights are definitely fun :)
