What do you think of these four words, "The people would revolt?"

If you heard these words uttered by a chief of state who is under a very dark cloud of suspicion and whom the top law enforcement officers in the country have indicated has committed numerous felonies, would you be concerned that this chief of state was actually threatening an armed revolt against the government and people of the nation of whom he is chief?
If you knew that during the last election in this country that the same person had called for his armed followers to rise against his opponent and forcibly remove that opponent from office should the opponent win the election, would that make you think his current words suggest he would call for those same followers to attack their fellow citizens should he be removed from office?
If you are a follower of this man, are you willing to take up your arms, go forth, and do as some of his most outspoken supporters suggest and kill every opponent of his you come across?
How did we ever reach a point in the United States when these would be questions we have to seriously consider because somehow a delusional narcissistic egotistical criminal and conman managed, with foreign help, to game the system, lose the popular vote by millions, and still become President?

I read that earlier today. Sadly I think he believes he has the right to do anything he wants.

@wolfgirl569 Somehow, considering all the coke he did back in the 70s, I think it's for real.

@DWDavis I wonder about the dementia. It could be an act.

What worries me is a disturbingly large number of his followers believe he has been sent from God and take every word from his mouth as gospel regardless of how big a lie it is. Those people could very well become ISIS style violent in defense of their prophet.

@Plethos I don't think the text tax will go anywhere. It was proposed by the California utility commission and the FCC has already moved to prevent it from being put into place. If they use the new gas tax money to improve public transportation and make it more convenient so that fewer people drive, wouldn't that be a good thing?

@DWDavis - no, california is so spread out, that one more than likely needs their own vehicle. its not uncommon for people here to live an hour or more away from work site. public transportation is unreliable for most because of running times, routes and city to city. especially in open areas like where i live. the money is supposed to fix and maintain roads, but they keep moving money from the fund over to cover mostly state retirement plans .

Like they did when Nixon resigned? Delusions of grandeur is what I think.
And let's remember: there have always been "lunatic fringes" on both sides. Remember the Weather Underground in the 60s?

I think the difference this time around is that Donald has brought the lunatics on the far right to the forefront and given them legitimacy they never had before. No other President I can remember or have studied gave his wings lunatics the kind of support Donald gives these nutjobs.

The very good news here is that like our president most people are all talk and no action. I don't think the American people are as easily roused as they once were. I'm not going to kill anyone on the say so of another, president or not.

With the exception of a very small group of fanatical, psychotic supporters, I agree with you that most of Donald's following will fold their metaphorical tents and disappear back into the undergrowth from which they crawled.
