...medical-oriented television series that I got so fond of watching. I mean ‘’The Good Doctor’’ and ‘’New Amsterdam” which were supposed to be aired last Tuesday at 10PM (TGD) and last night at 10PM (NA). Instead, what was shown on Fox Life were 2 episodes of the recently concluded ‘’Asia’s Next Top Model’’.
My son and my sister went up ahead to sleep but I patiently waited for 10PM but nay! The series did not appear.
Maybe it is the production’s Christmas break and the new episodes will be shown next month? I hope so. These series haven’t reached their 18 episodes yet and they haven’t shown their seasons’ finales’ as of the moment.
Even if they show replays, these should still be played at 10PM.
The last episode I watched on TGD was Dr. Shawn Murphy reacted on a fluorescent light with its flickering sound while he and some patients were on quarantine. I suspect there should be a continuation of this episode but it wasn’t shown last Tuesday.
Hopefully, the resumption of these 2 medical-oriented TV series will be in January 2019.

i think that is the main reason why Dr. Shawn Murphy is still covering his ears on the floor- maybe until next year, he is in that condition.

@ridingbet Autistic individuals are not very tolerant of noises. Just ask my former students. We will see how he fares in 2019!

@DianneN Dr. Shawn was able to listen to the flickering sound of the light, which is inaudible for the 'normal' people.
i guess the doctor is still staying down to the floor covering his ears until 2019.

I am enjoying watching the old series ER. They combine the personal lives of the doctors with the trauma going on in the emergency. The show began with George Clooney playing a doctor many years ago.

when i heard about this series with George Clooney as the main lead, i watched just a few episodes. the actors looked so credible with their roles.
but in late 90s to early 2000s, i recall medical series like Trapper John MD, Doogey Hawser, and another drama series wherein the lead actor was living in a cabin car.

Have you seen Grey's Anatomy? When my sister was still in medical school, they were told to watch it and I could see why. It's by Shonda Rhimes and that woman is awesome. Her shows are really great like Grey's Anatomy which is medical and then she has Scandal which is about the US Presidential government and of course How to Get Away with Murder which is about the law. Her shows are highly educational and brilliant!

i think Grey's Anatomy had its final season years ago and Fox life is having a re-run of this series. yes, sometimes i get a glimpse of this drama and yes, the actors perform their roles so well, i would think they are real medical practitioners.

i like watching television series that are somehow connected with my line of work. i also get to know new learnings from cases shown by the doctors and their management as well. i am waiting for another medical-oriented series The Resident.

the episode of TGD was in Christmas setting. even when it is Christmas season, some TV channels here still show horror movies, some action and thriller, so i guess it is in the delight of the watcher of shows that should be considered.

maybe actors acting like nurses but i think the series are concentrated on the doctors and their jobs; nurses are only supporting roles here. but have you seen a male nurse in New Amsterdam? that big man having many tattoos. he is a nurse.
