First of all, thank you for clicking on my post after reading the title. I try my best to avoid drama at all costs. Life is too short for it. But I need a few minutes to vent then I will move on.
A few months ago I wrote about a family member that I have a strained relationship with. We have been close her entire life. Always been there for her no matter what. Who knows why the reason is for no phone calls, no anything, that is how trivia the situation has become.
I got a call from her a few weeks ago. She was on top of the world. New job, new car, everything is made for love in her world. That is great. I am very proud for her. But what happened in the one year of no communication? Not one word about how am I doing, what is going on with me, etc., it was all about her. I have many unresolved issues I need answers for. I may never get them. And I have to accept that fact.
This is the post I wrote about in October.
She was planning a trip and coming through where I live. She was suppose to be here today. I have heard nothing. Still blocked on social media. Who knows what that is about. And a few minutes ago, when she is suppose to be here, she called and cancelled. Some excuse that you would not believe and I will not go into but I do not have Stupid written across my face. I understand loud and clear more than she knows.

After losing my Dad last year I also lost another family member. She is still alive but we had major disagreements before and after my Dad died. I tried making...

I called a "friend" after the hurricane to check that she was okay and her house wasn't damaged. She never asked about me or mine. I won't be wasting my time calling her again.

You don't need someone in your life like that, I know how it is I've been there and I had to let go of what I thought was a friend to make me feel better. So get that negative out of your life and do what you have to do to make you happy.

@CarolDM Your welcome, I know I have been there and I don't like seeing other go through it. It's a sad thing yes.. but it's for the best to let go of stuff like that.

@hillhjill I know and others have been telling me to do it and I finally realized it is time. I only have a few family members left but it' s just not worth it.

Sorry she treated you like that and it seems she only really cares for herself and I would not be bothering about her again if I could help it.
It must hurt to think that she is going to see you and then leave you there like a flat tyre.

People have done that kind of thing to some of us before but I would not keep entertaining them as you deserve better friends than that.
Maybe all of her other friends are used to her in a way I don´t know and I would not be.

Some people are too self centered to possibly consider anybody else. If you choose to have her in your life, I think you will have to expect this unfortunately.

I have a family member like that. Vent away, we are here to listen. No we will never know what went on or what imagined slight she was retaliating against.

I had a friend like that and I understand how you must be feeling. It hurts... plain and simple. For me it's been about 6 months and nothing from her. So, I will just sit back and try not to think about it. She obviously isn't thinking about me! Don't waste your time...

I think you should let that so called friendship be gone from your life. Don't waste amother moment on people like that.
