“White Liar” is included by virtue of Miranda Lambert and I like her so that is that.
Actually, “White Liar” is pretty decent in following the classic typical country theme of a woman confronting her man who is a lying cheater.
“Hey white liar
The truth comes out a little at a time
And it spread like fire
Slips off your tongue like turpentine
And I don’t know why, white liar”
How many songs have used “turpentine” in lyrics? “White Liar” is like a premonition of what would happen in her marriage to Blake Shelton. From the platinum album “Revolution,” the song was written by Lambert and Natalie Hemby. “White Liar” was a big hit at country #2 and #38 Hot 100.

Big Black once did a song called "Kerosene," but I don't think that I have ever heard "turpentine" in a lyric before.

Just weird to see you and Lori favorably mentioning country music......

I'm a big fan of Miranda Lambert and know her from the country side of her music. She has had some really good songs over the years. My favorite is The House That Built Me
