I Can't Convince Them the Bill Isn't Paid!

So, my satellite internet provider is really a piece of work. Don't say I should get another one, because there are few options out here. One of their more charming qualities is that they fail to produce the bill each month until about a half an hour before it's due.... I have an auto draft out of my account..Anyway, for some reason although the money had been deposited..my payment didn't go through..last time..so I had a 5.00 Virtual Visa in my hand which I have used those from time to time to pay on a bill, I asked if I could do that..anyway, they ended up taking 5.00 from the Visa apparently?? and 5.00 from my bank account when they should have taken 65.which I was told they were doing..by the phone agent..it wasn't until later when I saw the withdrawals from the bank, I saw they hadn't.so I tried explaining this to customer service, that they hadn't taken enough for payment..the only thing I was getting from customer service was my bill was showing as paid..?? I know darn well it isn't..but less I think, I can spend this money, I am sure they will figure it out sooner and later and either draft a payment or try to cut off my internet..or worst case scenario..charge me a double bill next month. They can never do anything right. Maybe they won't catch on..I have no idea..but I think I have done my part... I guess I am going have to see what happens next month. Did you ever have a scenario as ridiculous as this?

Yes, and I cut the service when they refused to listen to me. I had that option. I talked to a supervisor and had them disconnect my phone as soon as I hung up with them. They did. End of problem.

Well, I am not about to cut off my internet service lol. Not until I have something better. It's as slow as molasses getting new providers out here. I was told by our Senator..that they have better internet in the mountains of SW Virginia..then they do here... It's inexcusable really.

@snowy22315 I know you won't cut off your Internet service. However, the phone company I dealt with kept double billing me every month on fees. I'd call them every month, they would see the problem, subtract it and then it was back there the next month. I finally had enough.

This definitely ridiculous. This is definitely frustrating. you set up autopayment for a reason, and i don't understand how it seems to be making things a little more complicated for you than it should be.

Yes, I mean..the money was there in the first place..no reason it shouldn't have gone through..and then when I spoke to the staff..they should have had a clue what was going on.

yes a hospital bill since Sept.It was taken care of.They continued to send the same bill. I will see them next week and all hell broke loose.LOL

These companies are really incompetent sometimes. However, I am sure they do their best..or I hope they do.

That would be so annoying. It makes you wonder if trying to be honest is worth it. Of course it is but you know what I'm saying.

Autopayment is supposed to make our lives easier. It looks the opposite in this case.
