Question: If you could cover anything in Chocolate, what would it be? With National Chocolate Covered Anything Day arriving in a couple of days it seemed the appropriate question to ask. So many foods we eat can be really improved by covering them in chocolate. The obvious choice for me would be ice cream, but other not so obvious food items also are enhanced by the addition of chocolate. One that comes to mind is raisins, a sweet food made sweeter and tastier with the addition of chocolate. Fun Fact: The creation of the first modern chocolate bar is credited to Joseph Fry, who in 1847 discovered that he could make a moldable chocolate paste by adding melted cacao butter back into Dutch cocoa. So as your thinking of what you would enjoy covered in chocolate remember to make a special effort to celebrate this wonderful day on December's National Day Calendar. And don't feel a bit quilty chocolate lovers it's your day.... Try that Chocolate Covered Bacon for breakfast, go ahead indulge! Source & photo- nationalday calendar.com Fun fact- Google

Yes, bacon is pretty out there isn't it! Of course, I've never tried it or covered on Jalapenos either? However, I have tried them on pretzels and that is mighty good!

I'll skip the chocolate covered bacon. However, I do love chocolate covered ice cream, chocolate raisins, chocolate on any fruit. It goes with just about anything. It even goes with my diet if I use Baker's Chocolate.

So it is this Sunday. Well, I have plenty of chocolate downstairs in a cool area of the basement, time to bring up a few to taste. No thanks for the chocolate covered bacon, I do not even like bacon.

@dgobucks226 I am not a fan of strawberries covered with chocolate, I love a lot more candied orange zests covered with dark chocolate.

Not much of anything... The only worrisome thought would be what to have it with and not offend the other foods, lol.

I wish I could cover anything in Chocolate and eat it, however, Chocolate gives me Migraines so I try my best to stay away from it even though I really like chocolate. I really like chocolate covered strawberries. Oh I live bacon but don't think it would go very well with chocolate.

So sorry about your chocolate migraines That's a bummer. Yep bacon is a stretch but I would try waffles. And of course chocolate and peanut butter goes together like bacon and eggs. A much safer choice, lol.

@Spontaneo Oh yes! Cookies are a big problem. M & M, chocolate chip, butter, they are just sooooo tempting. Then it takes me 3 months of being good to get rid of the excess weight I gained
