I read from a Wikiquote this evening that went kind of like this ... "I never wish to converse with a man who has written more than he has read." Another one I like goes as follows: Quote: "There are no real enemies more great than the ignorance of those who only look at the world through the eyes of confusion and accept nothing that is imagined but hold on to that which is transient and within ones' own reach." - end quote. Writer Unknown. When looking for quotes I found some really good ones by Samuel Johnson.

@lookatdesktop I tried that once and I ended up just losing my clock. You have to watch them all the time or they just run away.

I do think some of us shared personal quotes here. I hope we can collect them and be treasured.

Everyone who lives lights up the world just a tiny bit more. When one person passes from this life to the next life, that is just one less star shining in the heavens.

@Shavkat , Yep. But the last quote was something my big brother said. He is good at making quotes of his own.

Those are really wonderful quotes. Thanks for the link I will check it out. There are many great quotes out there. One of my top favorites is actually an Irish blessing. May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields.

@RasmaSandra And the same back at you too. May the road rise up to meet you ... and so on, and have a great Christmas and New Year too.

One of my favorite quotes is from George Bernard Shaw. He says; "The reasonable man adapts himself to the world. The unreasonable man persists in adapting the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends upon the unreasonable man." Brings to mind a certain US President and how the story might pan out if everyone plays their cards right.

Part of that sounds logical but part of it does not. But what you added after the quote is good optimism and I do hope you are right.

I have to live everyday with people in the quotes. It's so hard. I have to go home and regroup to find myself again.
