I have to give credit where credit is due. When Patty Polley was hired by the Fort Polk Sheriff's Office to work as a crossing guard since she needed some extra money. Patty, 68, who is a grandmother found out that working a crossing guard at the Babson Park Elementary School, she found out that her work as a crossing guard was a real joy since she not only helped the students cross the street. When Patty saw some of the students not properly dressed during the cold weather, she would go home and make mittens for them to wear. When the word of her great deeds went out in social media thanks to the kind words of the parents of the students she took care of during the school year, Patty became a local celebrity in her hometown.

It is really nice to read something like this where someone is rewarded for her creativity and kindness of heart. She seems to have found what have been missing in my life - love for work.
