Is it the mouse or the keyboard?

I've had a wireless mouse for a while now, but my previous keyboard got too crumby and I went back to a corded keyboard still in good shape that we kept. I'm now back to a cordless on both and had to peek at my keyboard to see if there's a compartment for batteries. Yep, there is and when I went looking this page disappeared and I had to resign in to my computer. No biggy.
I knew the cordless mice had batteries, just didn't think about it for the keyboard. Did you end up replacing the batteries on the keyboard to get that typing cursor to reappear?
Your mouse used a cursor too, or didn't you realize that. Are you being serious, or funny or.....? Or, maybe you just had a brain fart, which is a common ailment to us humans of any age.

@allknowing Why do you say that, because of my brain fart comment? Did you already try more than one set of batteries? Not everyone would think of that in the thick of things. Usually, for many of us we have to sleep on the idea to think of better solutions. I'd never think you to be a nincompoop. Otherwise, we'd have to change your name to @neverknowing, lol.

@allknowing in case you missed my other suggestion, it could be the batteries you're using are older than you thought, or a couple out of the group are bad. But, the tech person should be able to have an answer for you quicker than buying more batteries.
Did you try shutting your computer down and then restarting it as one person suggested. Maybe that will wake the keyboard back up again.

@allknowing I use a laptop either on my table or in my lap. I really don't need a separate keyboard that one uses for a dektop. But I use a wired mouse sometimes while fillingup surveys to make quick moves!
