I have been teaching my sister to extreme coupon when I see the coupons for the products she uses, for around three years she has been using coupons and saving, but when the coupon value went down the both of us stopped getting the paper.
I had told her about the Dr. Pepper deal when I seen it, she drinks those, I do not. The deal at publix is buy two 12 pack cans and get two free, meaning the price will be 4/11.58, excellent price. BUT to sweeten the deal Publix has a store coupon $2 off two 12 packs of Dr. Pepper so she can use 2 coupons and get the sodas for $7.58.
Sweet deal right?
I can make it better!
Today She can use the $5 off $25 dollar general coupon at Publix as a competitor coupon along with Publix coupons.
What did she get for $19.xx? (that includes tax)
4 - 12 packs of Diet Dr. Pepper
A small Ham
1/2 gallon ice cream
Cat treats
2- cans of cat food
All of that for under $20!!!!
I told her early this morning and she called me this afternoon from publix, we went through a couple ways to spend it for the max. benefit. She chose the one with the ham.
Me? I would have gotten 8 - 12 packs and the ice cream and paid $14.xx (tax included) but she wanted that ham. The cat stuff were fullers to get to the $25 mark.
Anyways she did good and was so happy she got all of that for under $20 because like she said she had been paying $12 for 3- 12 packs at Dollar general.

I wish! I have no idea how to go about it and don't have a teacher in it. Maybe one day, I know it can be quite time consuming too.

No not for me, I only shop with the list and the coupons I have in hand, none of that stuff you see on t.v.

I have looked into it many times and wanted to do it but I just haven't yet. I used to work at DG and I would see people walking out sending a few bucks for a cart load.

I used to do the weekly $5 run, I would use the 5/25 coupon with mft. and I never paid over $5 and that is with tax included. Its harder now because the coupons re lower in value.

@shaggin it was, these people sure knew how to work those coupons and they had the Dollar general app and that helped also.

You have to have one store you use most and stick with that one, and make sure they have buy one get one deals and you can use coupons n each, urs sweet if the have store coupons to stack with mft. coupons.

I teach my family and friends but no one gets it or is interested, so I just do it for them all.

I get coupons in the mail for where I go and use the ones I can use. I do not deal with dollars here. We pay in shekels here.

I have tried, but never seemed to find good deals, or if I did it was not on things I wanted to buy. It does sound like a great deal that she got all that for under $20!

There used to be coupons out for everything, not so much anymore. I do more coupons for toilet paper, animal feed and cleanerss.

Most of what I buy does not use coupons. I am more into reduced price veggies and meat for the most part.

They are, well were, all of that is old stuff.
When I do it, its for something I can use up within 6 months, plus you can`t use no more than 4 q`s now each day. My favorite to extreme coupon is toilet paper.
And yes I am crazy

@andriaperry I did back when the stores did that. I dont shop much at the 2 that do give store coupons. They are priced considerably higher that the 2 I go to the most.
