Feral Reject Baby

About four weeks ago when we had a cold evening a mama feral cat moved all but one of her about two week old kittens from one spot to the other and my sister found and placed him with the others and then a couple of hours later she checked and they were moved and he was shivering in the cold. She brought him in and once again we were nursing a kitten and glad it was only one.
Now four weeks later he is eating food and still taking a bottle and we have notice that he is bigger than his siblings which makes me wonder why she rejected him in the first place. He will shortly joined the other ferals outside along with the earlier two after they are fixed in a couple of weeks.
With the coming of the new year there should be funds available again in the local feral spay and neuter program and Sis plans to trap and at least get the females fixed before there is another batch that might leave us one to nurse..

I always thought it was cruel for a mother to reject her baby or babies. Glad you were there for it.

That's strange that she rejected him but glad you could nurse him since she did. :)

It's really great that there is a program available to neuter the ferals.

I wish you well in getting this much needed project going. I bet the kits are adorable.
