I was sitting here on the computer inside typing away and saw my Sophie up on top walking on this thing that is dangerous. When she got to the end she started to look down so I went out and yelled for her. She knows how to climb down outside but not how to climb up and I do not need for her to go to the porch below us. I do not want more problems in getting her into the apartment. The last people that lived there were not nice and would not give her back to me so had to do another way to get her. Now, I have to keep any eye on her out there. She has been good for so long.

cats can climb, unlike dogs, who keep on barking even with just a passing horse-drawn carriage.

Does your cat climb up and down outside. For some reason Sophie just knows how to jump down outside and not up again.

Cats always know how to get up on something but not how to get down.

No, that is not her problem. She got down from the top on our porch. There is something that frightens so she cannot climb up to our porch. Inside she has no problem jumping up and down.

I do have to worry because when she is outside she only knows how to climb down and not up. We had a problem with that so I have to watch her to make sure she does not climb down to the porch below or on the half roof of the house infront of us. There is a dog there and I am sure the dog would not take kindly to Sophie being on the roof.

As long as the dog stays below and does not bark at her then she would be ok. She has been out there when the dog is outside of the house in the area and I do not believe the dog has ever barked at her. The dog recognizes me and ever since it barked and I talked softly to it it has not barked at me. It really has been indifferent and really does not care for me either way I believe.
