Kentucky Fried Chicken is selling logs that smell like their fried chicken

A new way for Kentucky Fried Chicken to get more sales.

This idea from the management from Kentucky Fried Chicken has to be a wonderful way to keep customers to return and buy some of their fried chicken meals. The manufacturer called Enviro-Log with the team up with Kentucky Fried Chicken have placed on the market for a limited time the five pound fire log that has the likeness of the late Colonel Sanders that can burn up to three hours costs $18.99 dollars. The catch of this fire log is that the smell from the fire log is like being in the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant smelling the ingredients of the chicken itself.

That is true since most people can pick up fire logs at a cheaper price at a store.

I love the smell of a wood fire, and don't know if I'd use one of these logs even if they paid me $18.99.

I would not like the house smelling that way. If I want to smell KFC I would go to the restaurant.

I would never, never buy one of those logs. It would make me nauseated.

I cannot imagine this worked out too well for them since this is the first time I have ever heard of this and this post is more than 2 years old. I am sure if they got it right it must have smelled fantastic. My suspicion is that they did not get it right. lol Interesting idea. But not sure it probably worked out in practice.

Same here since it is odd for Kentucky Fried Chicken to sell logs that smell like chicken.

@porwest You are right since publicity is one way to have their name in the funny papers as Spider Man would say.

@Deepizzaguy Well, I am sure KFC did not sell the logs. They simply licensed their name and logo.

The Horror. Who would buy such a log? Wait. Do THEY pay US $18.99? Or do WE pay THEM?
